Why a Free Keyword Tool Isn’t up to Par for SEO

In order to get traffic to your website, you need keywords relevant to your website’s niche. In addition, these keywords should be of the following nature:

Long tail keywords: Short tail keywords are one worded and generic. Every website uses these, so the competition is high; making you incapable of ranking on search engines.

Long tail keywords are the total opposite of short tail keywords. These are phrases at least three words long, and they’re commonly typed by searchers.

Low in competition: As previously stated, short tail keywords are competitive. It’s highly impossible to rank on major search engines with their usage.

With long tail keywords, however, you have a great chance of ranking high on search engines. This is because you’re using phrases unique only to website’s content.

So when searchers type in a long tail phrase, your website can show up based on those keywords.

A free keyword tool doesn’t present these types of keywords. It presents generic keywords that are high in competition and not the best fit for your website.

The result of using a free keyword tool: you face a strong possibility of failing in SEO.

A Better Choice for SEO

There is a better way to succeed at SEO. The choice is quite obvious: use a paid keyword tool.

A paid keyword tool gives you long tail keywords. These phrases will be relevant to your website content and low in competition.

The ending result of using a paid keyword tool: high rankings on search engines; thus, leading to lots of traffic.


It’s understandable that free sounds good, especially with so many people budgeting these days. However, for the sake of excelling online, a paid keyword tool is a much better route to take than a free keyword tool.

For in the end, engaging in SEO with a paid keyword tool works in your favor unlike SEO and a free keyword tool.
